Promotional demo for SWISS RE in Zurich in cooperation with Vr-producties.nl. Assignment for JWT International Amsterdam. The main purpose of the demo is to introduce the user to the SOLAR IMPULSE 2 solar powered airplane. This airplane uses only solar panels as power source and is (at the time of developing) making its way around the world for the first time.

The demo gives the user a short introduction talk, and the possibility to fly the plane for a duration of 180 seconds. When the menu is shown the user also gets the opportunity to view the airplane more detailed by moving the Oculus Rift view direction.

I also implemented an extra feature: Time of day. By clicking the button Time of Day in the menu and moving the users head with the Oculus rift, the user is able to move a little ball in the screen which corresponds with the Time of Day. The effect is a very nice visual change of colors in the sky, clouds and lighting effects.

Furthermore the demo features volumetric clouds, a 100 square kilometer 3d map (includes heights) of Zurich, Switzerland and realistic flight controlls.

The application is written in C# in Unity3D
