Absolute Velocity is a prototype for a game based on a movie. This movie was supposed to be released in 2012 by Sweetwater Pictures San Francisco. Our assignment was to develop a prototype for a game which could be used to create the full game after the movie release. The game is about a guy named Jack. He has to save the president by bringing him donor organs. In the end his co-driver Anna seems to be the only option for a new set of donor organs after the car takes damage and also damages the currently available donor organs. The name Absolute Velocity originated from a scene where Jack drives incredibly fast and reaches a speed limit where everything becomes different. In the game the key gameplay mechanic is also Absolute Velocity. With this mechanic the driver is able to make choices in a very short timeframe by creating a slowmotion effect.
The game is written in C# and developed in Unity 3D.
